    Rusty's Offset Tie Rod Steering System - XJ Cherokee / TJ Wrangler
    This steering conversion is a variation of our popular Rusty's Tie Rod Steering System (Part# RS-SC250-UV) but is designed to address clearance problems between the tie rod and the differential cover and we where able to build it with larger tubing. If you've swapped in a larger axle or have a heavy-duty aftermarket differential cover, this steering conversion is for you! We are also seeing other suspension companies use larger bolts in the track bar axle mount and this will make contact with other steerings, not the SC350-UV. Like the rest of our steering components, we build the system right here in our shop so you can be sure you're buying quality components. Rusty's Offset Steering Conversion is a complete steering system that replaces the factory "Y-design" with a more traditional wheel-to-wheel tie-rod and a drag link. This system also uses special offset tie rod ends that space the tie rod farther away from the differential cover, gaining valuable clearance that is needed on many custom applications. These special tie rod ends are built to Rusty's specifications and are a Rusty's exclusive! These ends are also larger and beefy than the factory parts. This system is also completely bolt-on; no drilling or reaming is required. It is as simple as removing the factory system and bolting the new Rusty's system in its place!Rusty's tie-rod is constructed of 1.5" solid steel that has been CNC machined, which offers incredible strength and durability. The drag link is constructed of 1.5" x 0.375" DOM tubing. The steering conversion components are coated with a Black ED Coating Finish for a clean corrosion resist protection. The Rusty's offset tie rod ends s feature the factory taper and diameter to fit the factory knuckles, yet feature the same inner ball and forgings that are seen on 1-ton tie rod ends. The kit also comes with a bracket and hardware to mount the factory steering stabilizer or most any after market replacement stabilizer to the tie rod. Like the rest of our steering components, we build the system right here in our shop so you can be sure you're buying quality components. Fitment Note: 15" factory and aftermarket wheels with factory backspacing will not work with this system! All 15" wheels must have a maximum of 4.5" backspacing; anything deeper will interfere with the steering. We recommend a 15x8 wheel with no more than 4.5" backspacing. All 16" and larger aftermarket wheels with 4.5" or less will not interfere.IMPORTANT NOTE: This steering system CAN NOT be used with over-the-knuckle conversions. This kit is designed for vehicles with 0"- 5" of lift, anything higher we would suggest the Rusty's Over-the-Knuckle Steering System (Part # RS-SC300-UV).     Rusty's TJ/LJ Wrangler 3" Starter Kit W/ Heavy Duty Front Spring Rate
    Rusty's 3-inch Starter kit will clear 33-inch tall tires while increasing both axle articulation and wheel travel. Rusty's used 3-D computer modeling to design a 3-inch kit that retains the factory ride yet provides the articulation and clearance required to conquer rough terrain.Rusty's offers two options for the front coil spring rates: 150 lb and a 180 lb. The 180 lb springs provide the same amount of lift but will better handle the extra weight of heavy accessories such as a big bumper, winch, or a snowplow. A drop pitman arm is provided to maintain proper steering geometry and to reduce steering linkage wear. A transfer case drop is also included to maintain proper driveline angles. The front and rear adjustable track bars keep the axles properly centered under the vehicle, while extended rear sway bar links are provided for proper stability on the street. Rusty's Performance Shocks provide excellent ride characteristics on the street with an emphasis on better off-road performance. Rusty's uses only the highest quality components to build a complete system that performs well yet remains a superior value.Rusty's has several upgrades available for the 3" Starter Kit. Rusty's RX-800 monotube shock absorbers are highly recommended for those who like to go fast in the dirt, plus upgrading the steering stabilizer can help smooth out the steering on the street. Rusty's even offer's the front Sway Bar Quick Disconnects, which allow the user to easily unlock extra front suspension articulation for trail use, yet they can be reconnected in moments for proper handling on the street.     Rusty's 1" body lift kit is designed to increase fender clearance for oversized tires without a lot of hassle. These kits come complete with e-coated bracketry, all the necessary hardware, and easy-to-follow instructions.
